The 365 Journey

Inspiration is what has motivated me to take on such a creative commitment such as this in 2011! I followed one of the most amazing 365 photo bloggers last year and I was blown away at the growth, not only in her technique but her creativity as well. Through her blog, I was allowed to follow her through some of the most wonderful, stressful and emotional times that the year brought. What a fabulous way to document a "year in the life" of any individual! I am so excited to take this journey, to see what life may bring, and to enjoy the wild ride the next 365 days will bring. I hope you will enjoy it too!

5 / 365 Return to Resolutions...

...this year I plan to hit my goal weight!!!

After loosing 60 lbs last year... (and then gaining a "few" back over the holidays), I plan to continue on my journey and finally hit my goal! I am finished growing my family, so now it's time to focus on getting my body back to being just that... MINE!

3 / 365 Resolutions continued...

.... to get continually lost in a great book!

I have never been a big reader... I have friends who can plow through multiple books in a week! My goal isn't that hefty, even one a month will be satisfaction enough for me!

I actually just finished a really great book called "Boy's Life" by Robert McCammon! I loved every minute of it. I looked forward to reading, even if it was just for a few quiet minutes, before I fell asleep, every night when the house was finally quiet and everyone else was tucked into bed. That time became sacred to me and it allowed me to forget about all the stresses and worries of my day and literally just "get lost"! Now that I have finished the book I almost feel like I am mourning a friend... guess that means I am in search of my next great read... any suggestions?

As I finished this book I was struck by something that I read, as a mom of four boys it really hit me hard... it reads "Parents- or a whole lot of us, at least - lead by mouth instead of by example."  I just love that little snippets like this can pop up so unexpectedly and have such an impact on our lives. Definitely food for thought...
