The 365 Journey

Inspiration is what has motivated me to take on such a creative commitment such as this in 2011! I followed one of the most amazing 365 photo bloggers last year and I was blown away at the growth, not only in her technique but her creativity as well. Through her blog, I was allowed to follow her through some of the most wonderful, stressful and emotional times that the year brought. What a fabulous way to document a "year in the life" of any individual! I am so excited to take this journey, to see what life may bring, and to enjoy the wild ride the next 365 days will bring. I hope you will enjoy it too!

Somewhat Obsessed

I guess if you are going to have an obsession, this is not a bad one to have! This is my breakfast every single morning!!! I can't get enough of it, I actually look forward to it every day! Vanilla yogurt, fresh strawberries and 100 % Natural Cereal with Raisins and Almonds... Yummy!!! I actually get a little panicked when we start to run out of any one of these 3 main components... so sad, and a little comical... Anyways, it makes for my photo of the day and a wonderful breakfast to boot!!!

Texture Questions Answered...

I too am so excited to be learning about textures! Let me start right off by pointing anyone who is interested in learning more about textures, and in getting some awesome freebies, over to Kim Klassens website! That's where you will find all of the goodies! She has great tips and tutorials, you can even sign up for once a week newsletters and freebies!

As far as textures that I have been using, they are all directly from her website! (all free) The latest one I used for one of my most recent posts "The Lovely Luncheon" was called
"Simple Things Sample," so much fun!!!

Thanks for the questions and have fun with your new Textures!!!

"Moody" Monday...

It was a "moody" Monday for everyone, me, the kids, even this picture feels a little "moody" to me... Although I think that is one of the things I like about it!

The Lovely Luncheon

I have some of the most amazing friends, one of which threw an absolutely fabulous Valentines luncheon that I was so lucky to be a part of! This girl is the ultimate party planner, and as usual she out did her self! Her attention to detail  is superb and it is always so fun to see what she will come up with next! Here are just two of many shots I took that day and couldn't wait to share!

Photography Forgotten...

16 DAYS!!!

16 days without a post... So sad... but such is life I guess! Instead of putting all of that pressure on myself to catch up, I am just going to push on and move forward from here. I am finding out I might not be the best 365'er but I still love capturing and documenting the amazing things I find behind the lens of my camera... so I am just going to do the best I can, whether that means I post every day, or every other day, or even once a week! Thanks again for hanging in there with me...

33 / 365 Beautiful Babe...

Anyone who knows me knows that I have 4 boys, so if little girls come to my house then watch out, because the camera is coming out! Ella and her sister Cate came to play today, and I was in HEAVEN! I had to take this picture because it captures one of the cutest things Ella does... sucks her thumb, and then curls that cute little finger around her perfect little nose!!! I love it! Not to mention she's just a beautiful child anyway, and so is her sister! Their family is moving soon and I will miss them so much, so I was so thrilled to spend some time with them today, they won't ever remember it... but I won't ever forget it!

32 / 365 The Wall...

A few of  you requested to see "the wall" that was in the back ground of my "Sunday self-portrait" last week, so here you go! I shot it at night so that I didn't catch the glare on the glass from the sunlight, still caught a little from the entry light... Since it is in my entry way (narrow space), I had to shoot it from an angle as well to actually fit it all in. This was actually a really fun project! Michael s has the pre-done layouts that you can choose from and purchase with the coordinating frames, super easy if you need to fill a big space! Most of these pictures were taken on my old camera and are 4 or 5 years old, guess it's time to update! It was fun to share this with everyone, hope you enjoyed it too!
